CHILDREN OF THE NIGHT – Wayne Shorter

I pulled this off of the Art Blakey album Mosaic, after realizing just how inaccurate the Jazz LTD chart is & how weird it sounds in C minor rather than the original B minor. In the interest of space, I didn’t include the intro / bass ostinato. I wanted this chart to show the entire form (ABA) on a single page. I included a Bb leadsheet, as well, which has a written melody for the first few bars of the bridge, whereas the arranged tenor sax part has slash notation to indicate improvisation.

Where can I download all of the parts. When it says download all, it just opens up a new tab with the same thing.

Hello, I'm trying to download all of the lead sheets+rhythm, but the download button leads back to this same page. Am I doing something wrong?

To all who could't download - SORRY! I built the site myself and then had a baby before working out the glitches. The pictured chart is now available as PDF.

Our small jazz ensemble at Lee University is playing this arrangement with tenor, trumpet, and alto. I'm going to try it with my ensemble at Covenant College next fall. Great service to us out here in the trenches!
